Initiation for members and officers of McKendree University's first-year student honor society was held on April 27 at the Hettenhausen Center for the Arts, during the annual Academic Excellence Celebration.

The following students achieved the Dean's List at Belmont University for the Spring 2017 semester. Eligibility is based on a minimum course load of 12 hours and a quality grade point average of 3.5 with no grade below a C.

McKendree University students were inducted into Alpha Kappa Delta, an international honor society promoting excellence in the field of sociology, on April 27, as part of the university's Academic Excellence Celebration.

Congratulations to the McKendree University Cheerleaders, who fiinished third in the Small Coed and Internediate Small Coed, Division II, competition at the 2017 NCA & NDA Collegiate Cheer and Dance Championship in Daytona Beach, Fla.

McKendree University students will present, perform and exhibit their scholarly and creative works during the Academic Excellence Celebration on April 27 at the Lebanon, Illinois, campus.

The Undergraduate Research & Creative Activity Conference, held March 30, is a premier annual event at The University of Alabama that provides students with the opportunity to highlight their research or creative activity. In addition to bringing attention to the outstanding work being done by UA's undergraduates, the conference allows students to gain experience presenting, become eligible for cash prizes, and form relationships with faculty mentors and fellow conference presenters. A total of 11,758 students enrolled during the 2016 fall semester at The University of Alabama were named to the Dean's List with an academic record of 3.5 (or above) or the President's List with an academic record of 4.0 (all A's). The UA Dean's and President's lists recognize full-time undergraduate students. The lists do not apply to graduate students or undergraduate students who take less than a full course load.

The following students have been named to the fall 2016 Dean's List at Southeast Missouri State University.

Nearly 150 upper class students in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences will be serving as Peer Mentors in the college's 20 Learning Communities for the 2016-2017 academic year. Mentors help new students in the college make the transition to life at Iowa State University. These selected Peer Mentors are often involved with organizing study groups, social events, and out-of-class activities. Miami University Students Study Abroad Winter 2016 Semester

Miami University awarded 3,889 degrees to students during spring commencement exercises Saturday, May 14, 2016, in Yager Stadium.

Concordia University, Nebraska named 247 students to its honors list for the spring 2016 semester. The top 25 percent of all undergraduate students who complete at least 12 credit hours qualify for the honors list.

#IowaState Culinary Science students proved their merit by placing first at the Iowa Pork Producers Association's 2016 Student Taste of Elegance contest in early March. Combining in-class and lab experience with creativity, the team created a meal of Smoked/Braised Pork Shoulder with Saffron White Bean Puree, Heirloom Tomato Salad and Chorizo Croquette.
